Unearthing (the) Elements

Fit for a queen, a Renaissance design necklace I created in lustrous, creamy, large freshwater pearls, twinkling paste stones, a repousse gold antique watch fob and a prayer pendant framed in dazzling, icy paste gemstones.

Roses prayer charm

Solid, one inch, sterling silver roses prayer slider locket. My heart warms when I see this necklace; it went to someone special in need. I wish them well, always!

An 'unearthed' mother of pearl/steel cut button pendant.

Tranquil butterfly.

I really like this ruby-eyed moose locket but for me it needed to be toned down a bit. I am happy with it's new casual look by adding this stitched leather medallion and simple sterling /brass chain  with a horn bead. Reminds me of Ralph Lauren's 'Mountain' line.....very cabin-essence!

I found this cool fancy gold crest medallion at the Long beach flea market. I love combination of dark wood, gold, dark silver and icy stones.

Reverse carved butterfly pendant. Radiant, ethereal, mesmerizing.

The moment I saw these pretty little engraved gold leaves a wired nest in gold and silver came to mind. I made the little nest and of course needed some eggs. I think these semi-precious gemstones worked out perfectly for speckled eggs. This sweet little handmade nest is sold and went to a mama bird for a Christmas gift. Thank you!

I am able to make another nest with eggs like this one. However, the leaves would be different as the ones shown are antique/one of a kind.

Art deco tulips! Ahh....I fell in LOVE with these the moment I saw them! Each leaf has the tiniest little beautiful patter.  My vision was to create something very dramatic with them. So here you go; elongated stamens, like some of the flower engravings that I have from the 18th century with extra long curly stamens. Faceted hand cut glass copper beads along with the paste stone spacers give them a brilliant sparkle.

French souvenir locket, giant south sea pearl capped with an incredible giant sterling silver filigree bead cap (that would only fit the largest pearl I had), and a diamond-esque open back white gold/crystal necklace. This necklace had to have a rosy cheeked beauty in the locket, so I chose this sweet girl.

Unearthing elements for jewelry is quite possibly my favourite thing to do.......other than enjoying a good bottle of wine with and some French cheese.
